Milan & Lago di Como

After leaving the water taxi, Fed, Meg, Em and I entered the train station to find a strike in full force. Only the high speed rails weren’t on strike. Luckily, we planned to take the high speed to Milan so we merrily passed all the frustrated tourists waiting desperately for the local trains to recommence service.

In Milan, the strike closed down public transport. Fed and Meg had to meet a friend so they jumped in a taxi. Em and I found one of the few remaining public trolleys still running and took it directly to our hotel’s front door.











While in the area, Em and I couldn’t resist a day trip to Lago di Como.
